This a watercolor and precious metal piece is from my orb series; the series began as a way to process grief during a very difficult year. Circles felt whole and unbroken in a world that had fractured around me. The meditative process of painting them brought me peace.
Dimensions - 28"x35" framed
Rescued from the wreckage of my old art studio after Hurricane Helene, this piece is a reflection of rebirth after hardship. My orb paintings began as a way to process a deep grief in 2019. This work now represents two periods of life-after-loss; I painted the frame’s plexiglass to represent the floodwaters this piece lived through.
