Collage Art Exploration
Unleash your creativity in this hands-on collage art class with RSC artist Vanessa Hajje, where imagination meets experimentation! In this dynamic course, students will explore the fundamentals of collage-making using a wide variety of materials including paper, fabric, and mixed media. Whether you're layering textures, cutting shapes, or reimagining old images into new compositions, this class offers the perfect opportunity to express your unique artistic voice.
Through guided instruction and creative prompts, you'll learn essential techniques such as composition, color theory, and image transfer, while also exploring contemporary and historical collage artists for inspiration. Open to all skill levels, this class encourages playful exploration and personal expression. All materials provided—just bring your curiosity and a sense of adventure! You are encouraged to bring anything that inspires you such as photos, fabric, specific colors of paint etc.
Vanessa Hajje is a mixed media artist . She approaches collage intuitively , letting the materials guide the composition. She is drawn to the beauty of fragments—discarded images, torn textures, and overlooked materials that come together to form something entirely new. Her work is an exploration of layering, contrast, and storytelling, often blending vintage ephemera with contemporary elements to create pieces that feel both nostalgic and fresh. Vanessa loves to teach in a non dogmatic, playful manner encouraging experimentation and confidence in exploring oneself through art.
The cost of the class is $95.00. Supplies are included.

Finding Your Creativity: Painting Intuitively
This workshop, led by RSC artist Alison Press, will have participants freely create without any preconceived ideas on how their final painting should look. Alison has specialized training on leading intuitive painting sessions, as it is a unique surprising and fun way to explore creating. Intuitive painting is a form of painting where the artist does not have a premeditated outcome in mind. It takes a leap of faith in yourself, without judgement or your results.
Focus will be on the process of painting and listening to your intuition lead the way. Prompts and instructions will be provided to get participants started and personalized guidance will be given along the way. Each participant will leave with a finished and totally original, individualized work of art. The end result might be a realistic image or something more abstract, or both. Even words, numbers or symbols can be added to the image. Surprises are expected and welcome.
Painting intuitively is appropriate for all painting skill levels from beginners to those with advanced art experience. All are invited to explore their own art journey.
Each participant will be supplied all the materials that will be used to create a finished painting. The cost is $115/person for the 3 hour workshop.

Organic Painting Masterclass - with Italian visual artist Carlo Brunelli - Movement, Matter, and Creative Surrender
This exclusive full-day masterclass is designed for artists and creatives ready to radically expand their approach to painting. In a sensorial, immersive setting, participants will explore how natural forces—such as water, fire, gravity, and air—can act as co-creators of visual form. Led by Italian visual artist Carlo Brunelli, this experience moves beyond technique into the realm of artistic surrender, ecological sensitivity, and deep material exploration. In this masterclass, you will: • Paint with gravity, evaporation, and fluid motion • Sculpt pigment with heat and air flow • Work with organic textures, resistances, and erosion • Deepen your sensitivity to impermanence and transformation • Shift from outcome-driven creation to embodied process This session is not about producing a finished piece. It’s about recalibrating how you create—and why. All high-quality and natural materials are provided. Open to artists and curious makers of all levels. No prior experience needed—just a willingness to explore.

Monoprinting Fun
This workshop, led by RSC Artist Alison Press, is designed for beginners who want to explore monoprinting, or monotype printing. This printmaking process uses painting on a flat surface, known as a 'plate,' and is transferred using pressure to a sheet of paper. In this workshop the 'plate' will be yupo paper, a flexible, plastic like printers' paper and the images painted will then be pressed by hand onto other types of papers, Each print will create a unique, one of a kind image. After images are created they can then be left as is, or embellished with more paint, mixed media or collage. Workshop attendees will have an opportunity to explore all of these possibilities and will leave with a few completed, original works of art, along with a new learned printmaking skill. The cost is $115.00 per participant and all materials are included.
