After having been a commercial photographer for years, I stumbled into a love affair with encaustic wax a few years ago. This medium involves many possibilities  - layering photographic images with wax, using images as collage elements, combining images with pigmented hot wax and/or using pigmented wax and oils on their own to create abstract paintings. The creative possibilities are endless, and working with the creamy hot wax is magical.
